ServiceOntario: Orion is rolling out in Canada

ServiceOntario is a service offered by the province of Ontario (Canada) which allows its citizens to renew their driver’s license, license plate, parking permit, health card. This service has 280 locations open to the public throughout the Province.

After a call for tenders won in 2021, ESII Canada started rolling-out the Orion solution to manage public reception in the various ServiceOntario reception areas.

The Orion solution in SaaS mode makes it possible to install many locations with different characteristics.

The visitor makes an appointment on the website ontario.ca. On the day of his arrival, he checks in at the reception and receives a ticket. If he does not have an appointment, he can take a ticket directly from the Twana™ Ultimate kiosk. To call the tickets’ numbers, each location has 2 to 4 video screens.

Currently, 60 locations are already rolled out, and others are planned.

With Orion solution several locations can be installed while maintaining centralized management. ServiceOntario used the solution’s APIs to customize as much as possible the interface offered to agents and visitors (including accessibility, predictive city list).
